Day 0: Blessed

New Update: our HeadStrong boy has made it out of surgery with flying colors!!  Dr. Mangano said Cooper can now have relief, his vitals are stable and lost minimal blood.  The more extensive surgical technique was absolutely necessary but now the risk of his symptoms returning are slim.  He is already waking up; still a bit foggy, but awake, safe, and breathing strong!  We knew our Cooper was strong, but to have results like this...how blessed are we?

To raise such a HeadStrong boy...there must be HeadStrong parents!  The silent sigh of relief could be heard for miles!  Praise God!

"For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7

  2. We have been thinking about you every minute of this day, Cooper Miranda! We wish you a speedy recovery and a happy heart. :) We're looking forward to many years of trampolines and baseball together, but until then we'll support you in any way that we can while you heal. We love you and your wonderful family! See you soon!

  4. Thinking of you- Michelle, Matt & Cooper,- as you start this new day of transferring from the ICU to A7. It is RECOVERY time! I read this devotion this morning. Praying it for you (now). Post-op days can seem long as you wait for all the right people to do there "thing":

"Let Me prepare you for the day that stretches out before you. I know exactly what this day will contain, whereas you have only vague ideas about it. You would like to see a map, showing all the twists and turns of your journey. You’d feel more prepared if you could somehow visualize what is on the road ahead. However, there is a better way to be prepared for whatever you will encounter today: Spend quality time with Me. I will not show you what is on the road ahead, but I will thoroughly equip you for the journey. My living Presence is your Companion each step of the way. Stay in continual communication with Me, whispering My Name whenever you need to redirect your thoughts. Thus, you can walk through this day with your focus on Me. My abiding Presence is the best road map available. (see also Exodus 33:14; John 15:4-7)"

    Lots and lots of love!!
